The Ressies is a weekly podcast that sees Marmalade duo DJ Checkers and Srey collaborate with fellow creator, Will Taylor, to chat footy in the winter and cricket in the summer. The focus is not so much on what happens at the elite level, but they hero the community sport battler and take listeners so deep into the locker room that they can smell the liniment.There’s parmi reviews, game recaps, sports broadcast critiques and plenty of gags. They also host other creators and provide a behind-the-scenes look at their Instagram, Tik Tok and YouTube productions.

Joel Eyles aka Checkers is the driving force behind Marmalade and The Ressies brands, he’s also a DJ (DJ Checkers) and a decent ruckman!

Riley Srey (also from Marmalade) started by holding the camera, but became a star when it was turned on him. He’s responsible for some of footy’s biggest social media moments over the past 12 months, including his Buddy moment for the Div 12 Ressies and his comical coin toss before a North Melbourne game. 

Will Taylor is a rising star in the sports creators space, with his social media following exploding over the past 12 months. Some of his videos have received millions of views, including a video featuring Will picking up a cricket bat in a sports store, which has had more than 16 million. 

The sports media landscape is saturated with rehearsed interviews from professional athletes, but The Ressies cut through the cliches to give their community an insight into what it’s like to be the last picked each week.
